Seal of the Fire Eater

The darkness was pierced by a single beam of light, the glow danced and jumped with the shadows, clearing away the cobwebs of the darkness that seemed to crush down upon the man. He was a mere 20 years old, he was scouting out a cave that he heard about, he thought there may be valuable resources inside the dark and dreary cave.

He held up his beacon, the tourch was his one source of light inside the cave, he rose it up so that he could see further into the cave. He wasnt scared, he was just concered because while he had been checking the walls and the floor for minerals. He had gotten turned around in the cave. Now he was at the face of two pathways. Each seemed to turn off so seeing far into them was nearly impossible. The man had to choose one, and make some kind of progress but he wasnt hasty on choosing. He held the tourch at the entrance of each tunnle waiting hopeing that his guess was right. As he held the tourch towards the first entrance, the flame flared up and twisted due to a sudden draft from this tunnel.

Without thinking he rushed into this cave knowing that if wind came from the tunnel there had to be a exit to the surface. Little did the man know that had he merely taken the time to explore the other option he would have found a treasure so sacred that it was sealed in a tomb that streached more than 3 miles underground.Sadly the path the man had taken was sure to lead to his demise.

The man was moving to fast, something that his father a much more experienced cave climber would have shunned and for good reason. He was moving to fast, and when he saw the light, he was tricked by nature itself. What he thought was an exit was really a room inside the Cave, more or less it was a giant pit, the man in his haste had not tested the room and had ran in. He had mistaken the glow from alge as a glow from the outside. The man had fallen 30 feet to his death, at the mouth of the tunnel he chose was a 30 foot fall. The man had been going to fast and he suffered the price because of it.

His corpse laid on the ground, lookign up with cold dead eyes at the celing, at the top was a hole that had let the air flow through.




The punch came from the left, it caught Ikuba off guard and had he not seen it, he would have a nasty black eye. Luckily Ikuba saw the man and was able to quickly counter him by drawing a kunai and laying it on the drunk mans neck. His breath reeked of alcohal and rotten meat. Ikuba was disgusted and thought about killing him. That was until a hand fell on his shoulder, a soft hand.

Ikuba turned and was face to face with a little girl, the girl said, "please mister dont hurt my dad he hasnt been the same since ed went missing."

Ikuba pulled the blade away from the mans throat who seemed grateful that his little daughter had been there to save him. What weakness thought Ikbua, bringing a little girl into a bar like this. This place was no place for little girls but for big drunk men to wash away there troubles and their sorrows.

Ikuba paid his tab and couldnt help but over hear the girl scolding her older father. He exited the building not really in the mood to fight anyone today. He was heading back to his hotel, he knew Dante would be expecting him soon for training and he dare be late.

He was thinking about this and nearly missed the small but definate pull on his coat. Ikuba turned and saw the same girl standing behind him. Before he could mutter a word the girl started in on her proposal. "Mister I have a problem my older brother Ed went missing a few days ago, and well you look strong do you think you could help me?" She had obviously tried her best attempt at swaying Ikuba's cold heart by making the most pathetic face he had ever seen. Too bad for her he had remebered to take his medicine and he had little emotion too show.

Ikuba said,"I could care less about you or your brother, there is no reason for me to waste time looking for someone who lost himself. He probebly ran away to escape the drunken rage of your father and i sugest you do the same."

Ikuba turned to walk away before the girl made another attempt. This time what she said played much more to his likeing. The girl said,"Well my brother went out to the cave that is located on the east side of that mountain, its said that there is a dark power inside the cave that kills all people that go in there, no one has ever came out alive. It is also said that there is a powerful ninja scroll." This girl was smart she must have seen his head band and knew he was a ninja and when she couldnt appeal to his soft side she appealed to his greedy, power hungry side.

Ikuba said,"Well i got a few hours to blow I guess I could check out this so called possesd cave."

Ikbua stood outside the entrance to the cave, and without any delay or waiting for the girl to find a way home, he entered into the cavern of pain. It was named this by the villigers because almost all of the staligmites and the stalagtiets were sharp and pointed. Ikuba truged through the cave and adventually it became so dark that he could no longer see, so he lit a tourch that the girl had given him.

He used the tourch to peirce the darkness and truged on after a while he was face to face at the mouth of two tunnels, the first one was the one that ed had traveled down. The other was the one that Ikbua now looked at. He walked inside the entrance and immediatly noticed the size of the tunnle get smaller, had he been any bigger traversing this tunnel would have been nearly impossible, he was gettign scratched constantly as he made his way along the tunnle.

The tunnel kept getting smaller and smaller, and adventually Ikbua realised that turning around was no longer a option, there was no way he could manuver he way backwards if he got stuck.

Ikuba wasnt afraid thank goodness he had taken his pills or else he would have probebly gotten himself stuck or died from a panic attack. Ikuba kept trudging on and adventually saw a glow coming from the end of the tunnle. Ikuba kept moving onward, he came to a point where he had to use his amrs to break some of smaller stones to make himself room.

He finally pushed himself out the the cave and now stared at a scroll that was secrued inside a crystal case, it looked brilliant with the glow from the sun shining down upon the case and refracting the light into a million beams of rainbowish light.

Ikbua picked up the case and carefully made his way to the light. Ikbua had wondered why people had not found this entrance into this cave before but the more he thought about it the more it made sense to him, anyone entering from this entrance would fall and die because it was a 50 foot drop from the hole in the celing to the ground. Ikuba now had to climb up the rocky face and make it out that hole, he thinks that this way he wouldnt have to answer to the annoying girl, or have to cut himself up inside the small passage way.

HE make the treturous climb up and arrives at the mouth, once he is outside does he finally take stock, he is cut pretty badly in a few places, and he is completely filthy, sure Dante would be mad that he missed training, but Ikuba knew that the secrest kept inside this scroll far surpased some basic genjutsu training.

Ikuba had been reading and practicing the writings on the scroll for over a month, he had finally desiphered all of it and realised it was a curse seal. Ikbua knew that this scroll would allow tremendous power to whom ever he wanted to seal. He practiced using this in combination with his Shadow possesion justsu. He would practice writing with his shadow. Adventually he mastered the ability to seal people by mearly grabbing them in his shadow possesion jutsu. Meaning that if he caught someone he could give them this curse. Though he doubts he would because, it makes the reciver powerful
