The training from the first gate continued. Byakuran’s wounds had begun to heal as they began to fight. This time there was no certain goal in the fight. It was a fight to fight. Byakuran’s brother used his whips to block the young Kaguya’s onslaught, Byakuran had begun using one of the dances. He had drawn a bone weapon from his shoulder and began to stab at his brother. His speed was amazing and due to him already being sped up by activating the first gate. His speed was impeccable, it was hard for the human eye to follow it. It was the second of the five dances, which he performs by modifying one of his upper arm bones to create a short, bone-hilted bone sword. He then stabs chaotically and continuously which causes the opponents eyes to lag behind. The speed resembles afterimages usually but at this point it seemed like an lagging a, the hand with the sword is again and again visibly projected. And yet the movement is irregular which makes it difficult to predict. With each thrust the sword's track is very capable of changing. The attack comes from unexpected angles, causing a person's delicate defence reaction to come off guard. Though one can have great reflexes and moving ability, it is next to impossible to keep dodging the fierce attack until it stops. Thus if one showed an opening, a finishing blow will be dealt by one stab in an instant. Unfortunately, The older kaguya never showed an opening. He seemed to effortlessly be able to parry and block Byakuran’s attack with a mere flick of his wrist.
From a bystander's perspective it would look like the kaguya's were in the middle of an elaborate dance. One where Byakuran was on the offensive and his brother was on the defensive. But both sides already knew that such an arrangement can be change in a moment. It happened in battle so, it could also happen in training. The older Kaguya smiled as he flicked his wrist. The whips began to wrap around Byakuran’s body. Byakuran’s brow furrowed as he jumped back from the whip. The whips followed Byakuran as he moved back, hoping to get some distance from his opponent. The whips didn’t let up as they began to cut at Byakuran’s skin once again. But this time Byakuran was able to keep up with the moving whips. Slowly but surely he dodged the whips. But he couldn’t dodge them all unscathed. One by one he recieved a cut on his arms and legs. Yawning his brother began to discard the whips.
“Come on, is that all you can do? Why not try and use the spine whip yourself?”
“Cause I haven’t learned that dance yet… How do I do it?”
His brother sighed. With the his Shikotsumyaku skill, The other Kaguya can modify and pull out his own spinal column, and regrow a new spine to replace it. Between the bones in the gaps there is cartilage that allows flexibility, which makes it possible to bend it as if it were a whip.
” With average estimation skills along with the impossible range it stretches, dodging is difficult. The protrusions on the vertebrae are modified to make them stronger and sharper.”
Byakuran remained silent as he listened to his brother’s explination.
“I usually use this with flower in order to catch an opponent off guard and stab them brutally.”
Byakuran sighed, These things were never easy. Especially when you first try it. Byakuran winced as he opened up his back and began to pull the modified spine from his back. He winced as every notch left his body. Once it was all out he marvelled at his creation. It was perfect. Or at least to Byakuran it was, His brother however didn’t agree. He moved with his bone sword with his own bone sword and began to stab at Byakuran. Byakuran lifted the whip which at this point was straightened like an sword and blocked the bone blade.
“Come on, show me what you can do with that whip.”
Byakuran frowned. He didn’t really know how exactly to utilize such a weapon to it’s full extent. He had never used a whip before, just his bone blade. It was the main weapon he was proficent at. It was sad, but it allowed him to do what he wanted. But it was no time to be thinking about how much better he was at using the sword than the whip, right now. Bya had to think of the best way for him to utilize what he did have. Jumping back after blocking the attack from his brother Byakuran felt his whip loosen up. Smiling Byakuran flicked his wrist and watched as the whip flew toward his brother. His brother merely parried the whip but did not move. Byakuran didn’t stop trying to attack. He continued to flick his wrist letting the whip swing at his brother.
As he parried the whip with his bone sword the older Kaguya smiled
“Try actually aiming your whip, it was apart of your body. Use it as one.”
Byakuran sighed as he continued to watch his whip miss or be blocked by his brother. He really wanted to cut his brother with the whip but he would need to do more than just blindly strike. Closing his eyes he began to feel as chakra began to flow through his body. Then it began to flow through the whip. It was easy for his chakra to flow. Probably because it was once apart of his body. Pulling his arm back he fired the whip at his brother. As it moved at his brother who lifted his sword to parry the whip began to snake around the blade and constricted around it. Pulling back the whip moved to disarm the older kaguya. Once the bone sword was out of his brother’s grasp Byakuran flicked his wrist a second time. The whip released the blade then it went aside his brother’s face. Blood welled up in the wound as Byakuran smiled. He was able to cut his brother
